First bead the back with tool working from edge in

Friction burn groove with strip of laminate

Thin and bead working in from edge for rigidity

Uses wad of cloth to back flexible plate when beading

Using the Alisam Engineering indexing system. It has magnetic attachment to lathe.

Lay out radial lines using pencil and platform on both sides at each index position.

Jaws to hold plate with scroll chuck. This is to allow beading to the very center.
