Texturing surface with Arbortech tool inside to outside. Lathe turning about 300 rpm.

Project 3: Offset bowl in curly Maple

Cut rabbet for expanding scroll chuck

Cutting a second smaller offset tenon. The wood is held with screw chuck. One hole on center and another offset 3/4″

Texturing the top with Arbortech tool. Notice the screw chuck holes. Used two closest to center.

Enhancing with torch. Lathe not turning.

Using a vacuum chuck that fits in scroll chuck

Vacuum chuck broke at scroll chuck so had to finish bottom differently

Making an actual lidded box with Cherry wood. Parting off at golden mean point.
